Purpose of the work:

The role of the Beauty Therapist is to offer professional skin and body treatments with education and retail recommendation for suited to the Guests’ individual needs. Serving our Guests on an intimate level, it would require professionalism and exceptional care at all times.

Hair

Purpose of the work:

A Barber should have a pleasant personality; have good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Good hand-eye coordination, patience and creative flair with attention to detail, should be able to self manage and have good time management skills. Is willing to be upskilled and attend further education.

  • Be able to advise guest to seek medical treatment for chronic or contagious scalp conditions.
  • To be able to shampoo, condition, massage scalp, treat and rinse hair.
  • To know all signature looks of Sorbet Man menu and execute styles with correct styling aids and equipment (brushes, combs, scissors, stylers, dryers etc.) As per training.
  • To perform all services and meet the minimum standard as per training – waxing, threading, colouring, relaxers, brazillians and shaving.
  • To maintain and look after all equipment and furniture in store supplied by Sorbet Man.
  • Talk and listen to guest about their requirements.
  • To attend education as needed and keep up to date with new products.
  • To know all products stocked and correct usage, be able to retail correctly.
  • To know all treatments stocked and correct usage.
  • To assist fellow barbers as needed and work as a team.

Administrative positions

Purpose of the work:

It is the role of the FDC to welcome guests to the Sorbet store and coordinate the activities of the citizens to achieve the best possible customer service. As a Front Desk Coordinator you are the first line of contact that guests has with the Sorbet brand, therefore a friendly, professional guest orientated approach is central to the role.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all guests to the store by displaying a friendly, warm and professional attitude (Make eye contact, acknowledge clients even when you are busy, smile)
  • Understand and be able to advise guests on all treatments in the menu.
  • Is able to advise client and sell retail products when therapists are unavailable.
  • Actively promotes and up/cross sells treatments.
  • Understands the benefits of the Sorbet Loyalty Program, and offer the loyalty program sign up to ALL guests who visit the store.
  • Accurately book appointments and / or handle changes made to appointments
  •  Handle guest questions and concerns in a professional and accurate manner.
  • Answer calls in a friendly professional manner.
  • Handle appointments and appointment reminders.
  • Manage citizens work schedule /rosters.
  • Coordinate citizen training schedules and bookings.
  • Responsible for managing store opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage and is responsible for Stock counts and inventory control (Daily In and Out Counts, weekly Full Inventory Check).
  • Manage stock receiving procedures as per Sorbet Franchise Systems Manual.
  • Responsible for receiving stock and capturing invoices on ESP.
  • Manage customer complaints.
  • Assist with administrative accurate invoice filing and controls.
  • Manage cash takings and daily banking.
  • Complete accurate daily cash-up.
  • Maintains a clean professional working environment by doing hygiene checks.
  • Maintains a clean and organised front desk, as per franchise regulations.
  • Maintains accurate stock levels with the franchisee.
  • Communicate any staff/ guest problems that need attention to the franchisee.
  • Perform any other reasonable requests and tasks related to the maintenance of the business as requested by management from time to time.

Purpose of the work:

It is the role of the Salon Assistant to maintain a clean and hygienic salon environment, and support the Franchisee, Front Desk Coordinator and Citizens in offer the best possible guest experience to patrons visiting the store.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Daily:
    • Clean floors (Sweeping and Mopping).
    • Dust and clean merchandising display shelves and stock.
    • Ongoing: cleaning of kitchen (dishes, glasses and cutlery).
    • Ongoing: Clean bathroom (floor, mirrors, toilet, and basin). Ensure there is toilet paper, hand wash, air freshener and towels available for guests (if the store has an internal bathroom)
    • Ongoing: Clean washing to ensure there are enough towels and bedding for trade.
    • Ongoing: Fold and pack towels and consumables.
    • Ongoing: Emptying all bins at front desk and in treatment rooms, nail stations and kitchen.
    • Wipe down light switches and plug points.
    • Wipe down any dirt on walls and mirrors.
    • Assist with running errands (going out to buy kitchen supplies or general store supplies when needed).
    • Offer guest refreshments (tea, coffee, water).
    • Clean out water cooler “catch tray”.
  • Weekly:
    • Clean windows and doors
    • Check that there is enough supplies (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bottled water, toilet paper, washing powder, softer and dish washing liquid, bleach)
    • Tidy and pack stock cupboard with help of the FDC.
    • Wipe down treatment trolleys and stock items in treatment rooms.
    • Wipe down all equipment in treatment rooms.
    • Pack and Tidy merchandising drawers.
